New Year On It’s Way
Posted on December 30, 2008 in Misfits.
WOW! There’s a new year coming already.
Am I the only one that feels this year has simply flown by? There are so many things that I promised myself I would do and so many that I didn’t even get close to. So I have really been thinking about my new years resolutions for 2009. I’m really trying to make them reasonable and possible to keep. But before I get to my resolutions for next year I’d like to look back at the good in this year.
I’m so happy to say that my mom (after having breast cancer) is clean for her 3rd year now.
My cat Sushi is still alive. I love him very much and to be honest, he’s getting very old. I don’t want him to die.

Matt and I have been dating for 2 years now.
I had a great birthday this year (I was very spoilt) and spent it with great people. Normally I hate my birthdays.

I have had some wonderful and some not so wonderful holidays, but holidays none the less.

Had a great End Year Show.
Passed my second year of University.
After uploading all of those holiday pictures I want to go on holiday now and can’t remember what else was good this year, but honestly it was a good year, with great people and lots of fun. Lets hope next year will be even better?!
Tiny Habits
Posted on November 19, 2008 in Misfits.
Since I was a little girl I have had many different habits from chewing my hair to squishing my toes in mud. Luckily most of those habits have disappeared over time, but there are a few that have stuck up until now.
I think my habits have a lot to do with feeling. When it comes to texture, i’m rather fussy. There are certain kinds of material that I just can’t stand. Wool was one of them and for many years I would freak out at the thought of a jersey.
I do love the feeling of smooth, cold things, like when you lightly place your hands on the top of water (bath or pool). It’s not a feeling I can describe but it’s so relaxing. Another feeling I have always loved is the feeling of hair through my fingers. So I have always played with my hair especially when I can’t sleep. I have also always played with other peoples hair. My friends still know me as the one that constantly has her finger in her hair. I have actually recently found out that this habit of mine is rather contagious and one of the other teachers at the dance school started doing it too a few years back, after noticing me do it, and now she can’t stop.
I also love to run cats and dogs tails through my fingers or toes. Weird? I know. I love playing with their ears too. This is something I have always done without even thinking twice but lately it’s a different story. My one cat (Sushi) is getting really old and I have started noticing that when I rub his tail it is sometimes wet. Smell my hands and almost freak out at the smell of cat pee. I think he forgets to lift his tail when he goes to the loo. So now I’m starting to think twice about touching his tail, but honestly I sometimes still get caught unaware and then find myself running to the bathroom in disgust.
Weird habits? Yes, I guess so. But I have also come to realise that everyone has strange habits. When I was still in school there were these twins in my extra maths class and they just loved the feeling of peoples earlobes. Man it’s annoying when people randomly rub your earlobes as if they are rubbing a magic lamp in hope of a genie popping out. I also remember everyone shouting at them after a while. In the beginning it was rather funny but after a while it started getting a bit freaky.
Now I know everyone must have some weird habit, that people either know of or don’t know of at all. Please don’t be shy to share them. I need some entertainment after studying all day, so please do me a favour.
