Early Morning Lectures

I am not a morning person, at all. So early morning lectures are just the worst for me. There are a few things that make them bearable; my lovely friend Kat (who also has to go through this early morning torture, the fact that it’s an awesome subject, good radio on the drive in, and coffee.

By the way, this post is made from my new iPhone 4, which I absolutely adore accept for the fact that I cannot bluetooth anything to another phone other than an iPhone. Fail.

It’s also almost my birthday and I just can’t wait :)

Finding the Silver Lining

The dance studio I have taught at for the past five years is closing down. Shock!!!! Well it was to me. Strangely enough I immediately knew what i was going to about it and was not left wondering ‘what now?’, not even for even a second. This surprised me, and possibly other people too. I know exactly what I am going to do now… I’m opening my own dance and pilates studio.

Through my five years of working at Donzelle Dance Studio I learnt a lot of what I would do, and a lot of what I wouldn’t do if I had my own studio. I have always wanted to open my own studio and I see the fact that Donzelle Dance Studio is closing down as a blessing in disguise and possibly the push I needed to get started. Studio of Motion (my new studio) is a not only a dance studio but a Pilates and dance photography studio too.

I am so excited about this new chapter in my life, and even though my heart breaks at the thought of my old studio closing down, I know it has happened for a specific reason.

I have been working really hard for the past few weeks and am proud to say that I will have 2 studio’s, the facebook page is done, and the website is getting there (you can already register and download the prospectus).

The City I Live In – Pretoria

I have realised that there are so many things in life that we all take for granted. This got me thinking about what I take for granted.

One of those things is the city I live in. Pretoria. It’s a city that not many people would think of as beautiful, but if you are in the rite place at the rite time of year it happens to be absolutely stunning.

Here are some photo’s of this lovely city in South Africa.

I have to admit that during the October/November months being in Pretoria is like being in a fantasy world. Pretoria seems to resemble some fairy city out of a story book. It’s an amazing time of year to visit the city as there are almost more purple trees than green ones.
