The girl in the red shoes is ME! I am a South African woman that loves waking up to find I still have another hour to sleep, rainy days, and huddling under a blanket with a good book and a cup of coffee.

I am the director and founder of Studio of Motion. Dancing is what makes me happy. Dancing is like dreaming with your feet and I believe that one can dance anywhere even if it’s only with your heart. As Martha Graham said, “Dance is the hidden language of the soul.”

I have have a few weaknesses. Coffee, shoes, amazing fabrics, good books, amazing foods, cupcakes, photography, and the names of nail polishes.

This blog was designed and created by my, ever-so-talented, husband. The blog colours are very close to my heart as they were also our wedding colours. I have always been a fan of red’s and blue’s; from the day I set my eye’s one the classic old school sailor look. So this is a twist on that. Tiffany blue and Watermelon. The green comes in as a fresh colour to brighten your day. Again, my name fetish comes in; clos-trophobia, aqua sky, and green candy apple are the awesome colours we made use of.
