First Position’s first performance
Posted on October 4, 2008 in Misfits.
So my company is still in it’s starting phase but we have already had our first performance with South African singer Julius. Here are some of the photo’s from the event. It was a very small event, but fun to do and I look forward to doing more.
Keep an eye on my flickr as I will be putting more photo’s from this event up soon.
Stupid man needs some chicken soup

Healing Chicken Soup.
We have all heard that when you have flu you should have some chicken soup as it will make you all better. Then came the “Chicken soup for the soul” books (obviously to make your soul all better). Now it’s chicken soup for animals.
The Wuhan Zoo in China has been feeding their pandas chicken soup twice a month to reduce their stress levels and boost their immune systems. Lucky pandas hey? Apparently it works really well and even though the pandas diets normally consist of bamboo and milk they have really been enjoying the chicken (meat) soup. The pandas are fed 1kg of soup in huge bowls.
I really don’t find this weird (maybe a bit as pandas are meant to be vegetarians – not that anything/anyone in China is). My dog Grishko eats rice and chicken stew for dinner every nights, occasionally pasta, if she runs out of rice or cous cous and smoked salmon. Now that’s what I call spoilt.
Stupid man shoots himself after being denied sex.
After a night out the 29 year old man and his girlfriend returned home. He wanted to get intimate and she was tired. He then got a bit agro so she dicided to go sleep in the spare room. He didn’t like this so he threw a tantrum and shot himself, twice, in the arm. Lunatic. He then came into the room threatening her and for some reason. After that he went to the kitchen where he stumbled and hit his head knocking himself out.
The man was arrested for threatening violence and firing a weapon in a residential area. I think he needs some chicken soup. Both the book and the real stuff.
Huge Winnings!

Heaviest man in the world is getting married.
If you didn’t know, the worlds heaviest man is from Mexico and has announced that he and long term girlfriend are going to tie the knot on 26 October. The venue has not been decided yet but it will be a civil ceremony.
Uribe, the groom, cannot walk as he weighs about 558kg but since he has been with his love he has lost around 250kg. Well done for him!
British student wins the lottery.
A student from Cumbria, England won 7 million pounds in the Euro Millions Game. Despite her win, she still plans on going to University to study Law next year.
Was she happy when she heard the news? Well, duh. Apparently she screamed so loudly that her dog jumped up and bit her bum. Now I’m sure that was funny.
What will she be spending it on? Well according to Ianthe, she will be spending the winnings on her family, friends and a brand new Ford Ka.

Todays stories are both to do with spending. A girls favorite thing? Well these stories are good examples of the wrong and stupid way to spend money!
How much would you pay for an OLD, ABANDONED house?
Joan Smith recently bid $1.75 for a house she had never even seen in Saginaw. Smith was one of eight people bidding for the cosy little cottage on ebay. I don’t really know why she bought it and I don’t think anyone else knows either as she says she doesn’t want to move to Saginaw. She said she will probably sell it. If anyone will want to buy it. I guess it’s a deal though.
Human Skeleton anyone?
Just in time for halloween! Auctioneer Tim Richards found a human skeleton while going through furniture and boxes from New Castle. According to an anthropologist the skeleton died before World War 1 and was not murdered. Comforting isn’t it? Urm, No! I don’t think human skeletons should randomly be hanging around. Luckily neither did jane Harper who bought the skeleton for $500 and kindly donated it to the forensics lab at the University of Indianapolis. Lucky them!
